THE STARTING LINEUP

Once draft day is over every team will have 19 players/defenses, but not all of them start each week.

• Every week of the NFL season, you will post your starting lineup to the message board at http://www.akotlarz.com/waffle.html.

• If for any reason the message board is down or you are unavailable to get to it (power
outage, rectal surgery, etc.) you can call in your lineup and leave it with the league office
via email or telephone, this is not the preferred option, its easier for everyone to have the
lineups in the message board.

• IF you can't get the message board to work on a Sunday morning, email your lineup to
akotlarz@rochester.rr.com

• IF you can't send email either, call Adam at [(585)-281-3519]and leave your lineup on the voice mail or give it to him if he's there, but he does visit with Jesus on Sundays you know.

• IF you can't call either, find the league member who lives the closest to you, go outside and start running in the direction of their home until you get there, and when you arrive, ask them to post it for you.   Should you not wish to run to the nearest other owner's home, I guess you’d be screwed.  And we'll use your last valid lineup.  It should never ever come to this.

A STARTING LINEUP CONSISTS OF:
1 QB
2 RB
2 WR
1 TE
1 K
1 D
1 Utility player, which may be either a RB, WR, or TE, its up to you.  The Utility player is designed to allow owners some flexibility so that they can play all three of their good WR’s or something like that.  He’s just a nice little helper guy.

ALL STARTING LINEUPS MUST BE IN BY 12:00PM (Noon) on Sunday.
If there is a game that happens on any day other than Sunday, any players you wish to start that are playing in that game must be submitted no less than 1 hour before kickoff of the non-Sunday game.  Monday Night Football players should be posted with the rest of your lineup on Sundays.

If you do not submit a lineup, your last week’s lineup will be used, regardless as to whether those players are actually playing in that week.  If you do not turn in a lineup for Week 1, your draft order will be used (please don't let this happen).

ANY TEAM WITHOUT A LINEUP IN BY KICKOFF ON SUNDAY WILL BE SCORED USING THEIR PREVIOUS WEEK'S LINEUP.

This rule gets sticky, especially when a week of games doesn't start on Sunday.  So for all legal purposes, here is how it shall be handled when a team fails to post their lineup for a given week.  God willing, everyone will post every week and this nastiness will never happen.

• They will be allowed any points scored by any players they did start already for the week.  (If there was a Thursday game and they actually started a guy then, they will get those points even if that player was not in the default lineup that is used because they didn't get the rest of their lineup in.)

• For all spots in the lineup that did not have a person declared as a starter, the previous
week's lineup will be used with no exceptions made for bye weeks or injuries.

• If a player from the previous lineup is no longer eligible (has been traded away or cut) to be started, the next person on the team's depth chart for that position will be used in his
place.  The depth chart will be sorted by total Waffle points scored this season.  If there is
a tie between two players, the one with more Waffle starts will be used, if there is still a
tie, the player who was drafted first will be used, if still tied, the first player
alphabetical by last name will be used.

• If no other players at a given position are available, a team will start no one in that slot,
and take 0 points for that slot.

IN REVIEW: YOUR STARTING LINEUP HAS 9 Players (1QB, 2RB, 2WR, 1TE, 1K, 1D, 1Utility), and it must be posted to the message board, or failing that then it should be submitted to the league office via email or by telephone call no later than 12:00 pm (noon) Sunday.
